Black Crown Hurricane Pro (2025/2026)
The Black Crown Hurricane Pro (available in both the 2.0 and the latest 3.0 editions) is the high-performance, competition-grade version of Marta Marrero’s signature line. While the standard Hurricane models prioritize comfort and flexibility, the Pro is a "powerhouse in disguise." It keeps the round shape but uses a much stiffer 12K Carbon face to provide the "dry," reactive touch required for professional net play.

The On-Court Feel
1. The "12K Carbon" Edge
The defining difference in the Pro version is the 12K Carbon hitting surface. This makes the racket significantly harder than the standard Hurricane 3.0. On the court, this translates to maximum precision. The ball doesn't stay on the face as long; instead, it leaves with a "dry" and direct trajectory. It is designed for players who have a strong enough arm to generate their own power and want the racket to act as a solid, predictable platform.
2. Adaptive 3XPly Eva Core
The Pro uses a triple-density core. The inner layer is softer to provide a "bonus" of control on slow, delicate shots (like drop shots or slow lobs), while the outer layers are firmer. When you hit the ball hard—specifically on smashes and viboras—the harder layers activate, delivering explosive ball velocity that can easily bring the ball back to your side.
3. The Signature Marta Marrero Handle
Like all rackets in this line, the Pro features an extended grip. This is a tactical masterpiece for:
-
Two-Handed Backhands: Giving you the room to use both hands comfortably for extra stability and power.
-
Leveraged Smashes: Acting as a longer lever to increase head speed at the moment of impact.
4. Forgiving Pro-Level Control
Despite being a "hard" professional racket, its round shape means it still has a massive, centered sweet spot. It is much more forgiving than most professional rackets (which are usually diamond-shaped). This makes it a rare breed: a pro-level power racket that still helps you "save" off-center balls when you're defending deep in the corners.
Who is it for?
-
The Aggressive Tactician: If you play a control game but want a racket that doesn't "fold" or feel mushy when you step in to finish a point with a heavy smash.
-
The Transitioning Pro: If you currently play with a soft racket like the Kuikma PR Comfort and find the ball is "floating" too much or you're losing control on high-speed shots, the Hurricane Pro provides the rigidity you need to take the next step.
-
The Two-Handed Player: If you find standard padel handles too short for your backhand grip, this is arguably the best technical racket on the market for your style.
