Bullpadel Vertex 04 Comfort (2024)
The Vertex 04 Comfort 24 is the signature racket used by Martin Di Nenno during the 2024 season. It is designed for professional or advanced players who want the attacking geometry of a diamond shape but prefer a more elastic, "forgiving" hitting sensation compared to the standard, stiffer carbon models.
| Technical Detail | Specification |
| Shape | Diamond |
| Weight | 360g – 370g |
| Balance | High |
| Core Material | MultiEVA (Dual Density) |
| Face Material | Fibrix (Carbon/Fiberglass Hybrid) |
| Frame Material | 100% Carbon (CarbonTube) |
| Surface Finish | Sandblasted Rough (Top Spin) |
Technical Features & On-Court Feel
1. Fibrix Hybrid Face (The "Comfort" Factor)
The defining feature of this model is the Fibrix surface, a blend of carbon fiber and fiberglass.
-
The Sensation: Unlike the "wood-plank" feel of high-count carbon rackets, Fibrix offers significant elasticity. The ball sinks deeper into the face and rebounds with high "ball output."
-
The Benefit: It is much easier to maintain depth in your lobs and defensive blocks under pressure, making it a favorite for players who suffer from "padel elbow" but still want a powerful racket.
2. CurvAktiv & Air Power Aerodynamics
The 2024 model introduced two major frame innovations:
-
CurvAktiv: A twisted structure that provides extra resistance to torsion and better vibration distribution.
-
Air Power: The evolution of the Air React Channel. It features a larger hollow channel in the heart, making the racket 23% more aerodynamic. This allows you to swing a head-heavy diamond racket with much more speed and agility.
3. MultiEVA Core
The internal core utilizes two densities:
Hard Outer Layer: Engages on high-speed smashes to maximize power.
Soft Inner Layer: Engages on slow-speed balls to provide control and a cushioned touch.
4. Top Spin Roughness
The face is finished with a sandblasted (sandpaper-like) grit. This provides an aggressive "bite" on the ball, which is ideal for Martin Di Nenno’s tactical style—facilitating heavy slice on volleys and providing the extra friction needed for precise bandejas.
5. Total Customization
-
CustomWeight System: The Metalshield aluminum protector has compartments for adding weight plates to the head to increase power, or to the handle to shift the balance down for control.
-
Vibradrive: Includes a silicone insert in the handle to filter out the high-frequency vibrations common in diamond-shaped frames.
On-Court Performance
-
Attack: It offers "easy power." You don't need a massive swing to get the ball moving fast because of the Fibrix elasticity. It is excellent for viboras and tactical overheads.
-
Defense: For a diamond racket, it is surprisingly forgiving. The large sweet spot (for its shape) and high rebound help you reset points from the back of the court with less physical effort.
-
Maneuverability: Thanks to the Air Power technology, it doesn't feel like a "heavy hammer" in the air, allowing for quick reflex exchanges at the net.
